This course focused on effective reading assessments and instructions. Throughout this course, I read several articles from different educators and practitioners to learn techniques and tools that could be put into practice. I assessed several students using different tools so I could best understand how the tools worked and how to interpret them. In this course, I learned how to use different technological items (such as twitter) to instruct students.

Spring 2014

TE 848- Writing Assessment and Instructions

Instructor: Kati Macaluso

This course focused on educators writing development. It pushed me to question my own writing techniques and helped me to refine them. This course helped me to gain more insight into the writing process. As well, it helped me to understand how challenged and sometimes frustrated people can feel when they are doing unfamiliar techniques (or things in general) as I was aided into being challenged in this course.

ED 800-Educational Inquiry

Instructor: Dr. Scott Weiland and Nathan Clason

This course focused on educational idealogy of key educators in the United States. The course reviewed the concepts of these different educators and offered me a historical context of high performing schools. As well, this course helped me to reflect on different techniques that are currently being used in the educational setting. One of the best aspects of this course was the historical context that was provided to help me understand the educational idealogy of present-day.

This course focused on the developmental psychology of children and youth in different educational contexts.
